A Little Sparrow.

I am only a little sparrow!
A bird of low degree!
My life is of little value.
But the dear Lord cares for me
He gave me a coat of feathers
'Tis very plain I know:
With never a speck of crimson.
For it was not made for show.
But it keeps me warm in winter,
It shields me from the rain.
Were it bordered with gold and purple
Perhaps it would make me vain

I have no barn or storehouse:
I never sow or reap:
God gives me a sparrow's portion.
But never a seed to keep.
If my meat is sometimes scanty.
Close picking makes it sweet:
I have always enough to keep me.
And life is more than meat.
I know there are many sparrows:
All over the world they're found:
But our heavenly Father knows
When one of us falls to the ground.

Though small, we are never forgotten-
Though weak, we are never afraid.
For we know that the dear Lord keeps
The lives of the creatures He made.
I fly through the thickest forest,
I light on many a spray,
I have no chart or compass,
But I never lose my way.

I am far, but you are always in my heart...

Poem of 6 years old orphan Danil

Я часто думаю, что сплю
И жду, когда меня разбудят
Проснусь - и все кого люблю
Опять со мною рядом будут
И буду вспоминать потом
Тяжёлый сон про детский дом.

Family in need of prayer.

Kirill's story.
Go here: http://oureyesopened.blogspot.com
and read the Whole Story... Leave them a comment.
The ruling was read, the judge said, “Your application to adopt is rejected.” The basis given was that Kirill was “not socially adaptable” due to his “medical condition” and he was better off in an institution than in a home with a family
So here we are, asking God to move the mountain that is standing between Kirill and us as we appeal to the Supreme Court in Moscow. There are also three other families who are in various stages of adopting children with Down Syndrome from Kirill’s region; one of the families has a court hearing set for next week.

We are putting together a puzzle for DANA, and we would like to give you the opportunity to sponsor parts of that puzzle, whether it is one or several pieces. Your name will be written on the back of each piece you sponsor, and our family will have a beautiful reminder of how many people supported us in this incredible journey and leap of faith. Check back often for an updated photo of our progress...
"Nu, pogodi! ("I'll Get You!") is a series of Russian animated shorts directed by Vyacheslav Kotyonochkin, produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio in Moscow, between 1969 and 1986. The plot of the series follows the mischievous and artistic Wolf (Volk) trying to catch the Hare (Zayats), presumably with the intention to eat him. This was one of my childhood favorite cartoons.

LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Once there were two women who never knew
each other. One you do not remember.
The other you call Mother.
Two different lives shaped to make yours
one. One became your guiding star.
The other became your sun.
The first gave you life, and the second
Taught you to live in it. The first
gave you the need for love, and the
second was there to give it.
One gave you nationality. The other
gave you a name. One gave the seed
of talent. The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotion. The other calmed
your fears. One saw your first sweet
smile. The other dried your tears.
One gave you up, it was all that she could do.
the other prayed for a child, and
God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears,
the age old question through the years.
Heredity or environment - Which are you
the product of?
Neither my darling neither - Just two
different kinds of love.
